Yes it is possible to only have one glider. You will need to be diligent about trying to bond.

Here are some of the tips I give people who adopt gliders from me:

BE consistant. If you get your glider up every day at the same time eventually it will come to expect you at that time.

WEAR them while asleep in a pouch. This allows them to get used to your sounds, heart beat, breathing, voice; and smells. Try to not wear much cologne, perfume, or deoderant when wearing your glider.

Take small patches of cloth and pin them inside the armpits of your shirt. Then go clean the garage or work in the yard. Get nasty stinky worked up. This will allow your own scent(you have one even if you or others cannot smell it) to saturate the cloth. Again, no colgne, deoderant or perfume. Use these as bedding so your scent is with the glider all the time while asleep.

WHEN you wake your glider up have something sweet and juicey ready for them to nibble on. Grapes work great for this. Gliders have a low blood sugar when they wake up. A sweet treat will help jump start their little engines.

DO not flinch with they bite. REMEMBER: this is a wild animal. If it thinks it can scare you off it will eventually always bite.

Good luck if you decide to get this fellow. Remember there is lots of help out here if you need it.
