: have you ever heard of nutritional osteodystrophy i got an artical from some one i sold a glider to he got it off the computer it says that sun light converts vitamin-D1 to D3 then the body uses that to process the calcium into bone material it says without sun light your gliders will start getting thin bones leading to the above mention condition but i have never heard of this happening to anyone

It happens too often, as Edwin suggested, go look at the 'real stories' section of this site, there are plenty of stories of this happening...its usually hind leg paralysis. To avoid it, make sure your gliders get a d3 supplement with their calcium. Most ppl around here use 'Rep-cal', with a pink label...it has extra vitamin d3 and no phosphorous (too much phosphorous is bad). You can pick it up in a good pet store, or purchase it online. The leadbeaters mix Elwin mentioned contains this rep-cal.
If you are selling any gliders, you should hand out a diet page...honestly, I would give new owners a book with their new glider, like Caroline MacPherson's Sugar Gliders. Compared to the price of a glider, and the chances of people having problems due to inexperience, a 7 dollar book would be a good safe bet.
Hit the link below to get to Bourbon's website. The 'diet and ingredients' box is where the leadbeaters recipe is. Its a great diet for new owners, and old owners alike. The gliders get everything they need, no worries.
