To avoid it, make sure your gliders get a d3 supplement with their calcium. Most ppl around here use 'Rep-cal', with a pink label...it has extra vitamin d3 and no phosphorous (too much phosphorous is bad). You can pick it up in a good pet store, or purchase it online. The leadbeaters mix Elwin mentioned contains this rep-cal.
