: I have realized in the last week how passionate i am about sugar gliders, i become so upset when i find that someone with no knowledge of them want to get one because they are cute...last night i found out that someone i know was watching a glider who's owner could not currently care for it (nor did she have a clue how to) and the glider was sick I went to see the glider (a beautiful girl) and she was very sick, very cold, not moving, eyes closed, not eating, i dont think it was hind leg paralysis, because their were some small movements, but her whole body was pretty still, the person watching her did not want her taken to the vet, or i would have, but i thought it was too late anyway ( as much as i hated to admit that) but i tried so hard to save her, I warmed her up and loved her and force fed her leadbeaters, and water, but she died while i was holding her, It broke my heart, it hurt so bad, i wanted her to live more than anything, i do feel good that she knew she was loved before she died, it made me so angry that some people would not do anything and everything to save their gliders, and would not learn everything they could about them. Thank you for listening. TaraRae

If there is anything to an afterlife people like you will have a special place. Having gone thru what you did I truly know your pain and can tell you that it will eventually subside but will never truly go away.

I hope you report the owner to the ASPCA!

Peace and health to you and yours,
Elwin
