I know exactly how you feel. I not only have four gliders, but I have many other pets as well. My first glider (Charlie) bonded immediately, due partly to the lady I got him from because she handles them alot as soon as she can so they will become familiar with the human touch. Anyway, Charlie went everywhere with me. He'd go to the grocery store, Wal Mart, even took him to the movies once, he went to school with me everyday. About the only place I didn't take him was church. Well, Charlie also did not like to be caged except when he had to go to the bathroom. He would crawl in bed with me during the night and curl up under my chin. Well, you guessed it, one night he must have crawled under me and I found him in the middle of the night. He was peaceful and it didn't appear he had even struggled. I have inherited several animals because the kids at school will get something and then decide they don't really want it. I can't stand to think of it just being tossed away. You're right, people should really give it alot of thought before getting any kind of pet.
