Subject: Oh, gods I almost lost him!

I can't thank David(?) enough for his help. I live in Salem OR and for the last 2 days the temp. has been in the 90's and today it reach 103. If not for David telling us about how suseptable to heat gliders are I would have lost Griz for sure. Last night after reading why his gliders died we talked about how to keep them cool. I got some un-flavored pedialite and fruit juice and my fiencee Axell came up with putting a towel that was damp into the freezer. We gave them the pedialite and put the towel over their cage when we got home. I swear to you now that if I had'nt checked on them during every break and on my lunch I'd have lost both of them. On my break at 11:30 a.m. it was 89 degrees. I made sure that their water was fresh and that they had fresh pedialite. The window was covered in the bedroom where they live, and the window was shut against hot air coming through. At 1P.M. when I got my lunch I made sure that the two fans in the bedroom (where the gliders are) were running. Yet when I got home @ 6:30 pm Griz was sluggish and Lily was hyper. We are sssssso wwwwwwwwworried about them. I'm so terrified that they will die in this heat. What else can I do ? I'm so scared! Please help me! Glider love and nibbles, Diana
