The Rep-Cal that I have is a powder I keep in a salt shaker. I'm not sure what it is you saw at PetsMart. It is very important because it provides them with Calcium that can prevent hind-leg paralysis, a fatal condition in sugar gliders. As for a water bowl I have never used one. Ever since I got my glider I have used a bottle and it has never posed a problem. If anything it just gives him another thing to climb on! :-) And it keeps him from knocking it over.
