: : Oh, I knew there would be a time when I was completely dumbfounded by a term on here. Now is it. (o= Toni, what's gut food? Then I can tell you if I use it... from the sounds of it, no. (o= AmyMichelle, and Aspen!

: I know, it threw me at first too. "Gut Food" is the name of a product, you should be able to get it from the same pet store you buy your crickets at. Its very common. It is simply vitamin packed food for crickets. Its used to stuff the crickets right before feeding the crickets to another animal. That way, the cricket is a healthy, fattened treat for the other animal. It looks just like the stuff mealworms are packed in.
: I buy 20 crickets at a time, put em in a jar with a teaspoon of 'gut food' and a slice of potato. At the end of the week, I usually only have 2-3 dead crickets.
: Alot of people get the crickets, put em in a jar with gut food, and a day later freeze them. Healthy fat popsicles!

Cool! Next time I go to the pet store, I'll definitely look into it. Thanks Toni! --AmyMichelle and Aspen.
