Believe me, I know how you must feel. The reason I have my weedeil right now is because of an animal accident. My husband and I went on vacation to visit his parents. My mom was taking care of my cat, becasue we couldn't bring her with us(his parents demanded we stay with them...). Everytime my mom came over, she said my baby went insane with happiness because she missed us so much, and loved seeing another person. Mom was at our house about two hours before we got home. My baby, being very excited that mom had been here, ran around like the psyco kitty she was and decided that the wire to our lamp in the bedroom would taste good. Unfortunitly, she had very sharp teeth. My only comforts when I came home and found my baby dead was that she had not suffered at all(it happened so fast the cord was jerked out of the wall and the lamp on the floor), and she had died happy. I still feel horrible for abandoning her though. Ok. Sappy story, sorry. But, weedeil was my present. I would have gotten another cat, but I'm pregnant, and there is that litter issue and all. I'm really glad I didn't get another cat. I'm much happier with my weedeil. Honestly, in my opinion, I think you should have a grieving period( I know how much it hurts), then get another glider. You will love that glider with all your heart, and it will help you heal the wound. Don't forget it WAS an accident. Accidents happen, and there isn't much you can do about it once they have. Don't beat yourself up over it...Flea doesn't hate you, and I can assure you, she's where gliders go, walking around wondering how she got there(and where her mommy is). She still loves you, so don't feel so guilty, it only makes it worse. Sorry this was so long, but I just hope I helped make you feel a little better. Weedeil sends his love.
