MAY possibly have been that another female would eat the babies. If not, whoever said one of the parents would eat the babies is wrong. It is completely false that either parent of the babies would eat a perfectly healthy joey if there was no stress or anything else that is upsetting them. The only reasons a parent would eat the joeys are if they were stressed, if there were 2 females(trio's are a bad idea), or if there was something wrong with the joey like a birth defect or maybe it was sick- one of those things only mamma can tell. Since you only have a pair the best thing you can do is up the females protien and dont add any extra stress. MAKE SURE that you leave the male and femlae in there together because the daddy plays an important part with the babies. He will watch them while the mother takes a break once they are OOP. He keeps them warm and carries them on his back(sometimes). Thats really all you have to do, just keep doing the same thing you were doing and they should be fine. One more thing- I suggest you take with a grain of salt what any pet stores tell you because most of them cant tell their elbow from their ass nevermind giving correct breeding advise. If you havent you might want to search this board for my post on pet stores..and why they're (in general) a bad place to find information on gliders. Not all, but most.
