in response to the glider that won't eat fruit...even though they eat about anything they can be picky..what type of fruit are you feeding them?..oranges work wonderful my little glider loves them...i also feed them applesause from stage one heinz baby food...i would suggest trying that so they can get the smell of the fruit and taste it so when they smell it again in a fruit from store they will eat it...also how are you feeding it? leaving the food in cage is good but i feed mine from my hand...i dought there is anything wrong with the glider it probubly is from the way it ate before you got it that is if you didn't breed them..if what i said dosn't work contact the person you got it from see how they fed it that is what i did when i got mine and oranges usualy work grapes too i would try those first..feed them out of your hand see if that works..it might just be what it was used to or conditioned to..start off with baby food fruit then go to oranges, grapes etc.. if you have any more problems let me know andi will see what i can do and if i can't help i am sure one of the people here can :) ohh and on a side note it might not like fruit, but i dought that like i said get some applesause, carrots oranges in baby food feed it to it by hand then place real fruits in the cage and feed the glider from your hand.......... sorry that this is long one more thing is this a recent glider purchase? : : I am having the most trouble getting my gliders to eat any kind of fruit. I have : tried one method given to me by a woman who wrote a book on gliders and she : guarenteed it to work but it had no effect what so ever. She said to take out all : the food the gliders like from the cage at night when I feed them and to just put : in the frest fruit and some fresh water. eventually it would kick in that the gliders : would have to eat whatever I gave them. I tried this for two weeks but their : helth began to fail so I put them on their normal diet a again and they are fine. In : that two weeks nothing happened at all. I get up in the morning early and check : on them and they FLY to the door of the cage begging for good food. Should i : continue this method and if not, what do I do???? I need help desperatly!!! : Chelsea
