my first question would be how do you clean it, Fl. has a cage law I think is a little extensive, 4'X4'X4' it makes it difficult to get the cage out of a room to clean it..
as for the screen, the holes ar too small, they WILL get their claws stuck in it, and take a chance breaking it's leg getting them out. The roccomended cage wire should be PVC/plastic coated with holes no arger than 1 inch X 1/2 inch, I use a 5/8 inch square, the 1/2 inch square was too small for them. When they urinate , they usually do it on the sides of the cage, and wood does absorb the urine, I also would be concerned as the the air flowing through the cage..
