You need to call you city and county animal control offices and get a copy of the animal code. Do not take the word of the AC officers because some AC officers will quote the code based on their own prejudice's. In the town I live in The AC office does not like ferrets so he tells people that ferrets are illegal when infact they are not mentioned at all in the animal code.
