I haven't run across any information about this subject ... my thoughts are this ... they are nocturnal creatures which means most of their waking hours are spent in the dark. It would be my guess there would be no need for them to see in color, but rather rely on their sense of smell to locate food. It makes sense to me that they see in shades of black, white and grey.
Anyone else with thoughts.
