well kat...why don't you report these pet stores that aren't taking good care of their gliders????? it is the least you can do for the sake of the gliders....if you aren't willing to do it let me know...send me an email with the stores and i will go check them out myself & report them. If a store is concerned with the well being of their animals they SHOULD take the time to get licensed...since you are getting to know the people at pet paradise...why don't you drop them a hint about licensing...make sure they realize the laws..if they are selling glider to people without being licensed they are probably not educating the people that are buying from them the breeding laws, which will only lead to more illegal breeding :(
I must say I am proud of Animal Jungle on Holland Rd. they are licensed and do take VERY good care of their gliders...I have been working with them on their care and diet. They are somewhat selective (as selective as they can be) about who they sell glider to....Unfortunately they are cutting back on their breeding pairs and i don't know how many if any they are going to keep...but they do provide good care...have you ever been there??????????
