Subject: HELP baby glider was attacked!!!!!!!
Posted by Steve on July 31, 1998 at 20:39:36:

I have a baby glider that is weened about a week ago and they were all playing in my living room when my other female -not the babies mother was walking past the baby was scared by the baby's quick movements and bit down on the back of the babies neck. They've been together before and the babies have even rode on this females back when they wre still nursing. so I don't think it was intentional. we went to the vet today and got heavy vitamins and a ointment to stop infection but he said it was too small to x-ray. I don't think bones are broke but it seems to have very limited use of its front left leg. My questions are, they are now separated from the parents should I put the baby back with them? will that help with the recovery? Or will they hert the baby more because they know its hurt? Also I am in Pgh, Pa. does any one from this area know of vets that could give a better diagnosis of the baby. I would be happy to hear any comments on this.
