I was concerned about mine too when I first got her. It seemed she was active only after I went to sleep around midnight. But as she got older, she'd stay up later in the mornings when I got up and would respond earlier. I got to putting her in my shirt -- I wear a tee shirt under it and an old flannel shirt on top, she likes to be between the two. The key is that she didn't seem listless when she wasn't sleeping. On the contrary, she loved her 9" wheel and I'd hear her really going on it in the wee morning hours. The more they get used to you and being with you, the more they will come to you instead of running away to sleep.
