:I am sorry to hear about your glider. I really hope that what gizmo has is different. The vet said he had some crystals and some bacteria in his urine. She didn't seem worried. He has 10 days of medication and than goes back for another urine culture. He is running around and he's already visited his food dish twice tonight. Getting the medicine in him is tough. he gets mad because i give it to him and my other glider, yoda, gets mad because i won't give him any. I think he is jealous. Anyway, thanks so much for your response

Hi, My female glider had something simular but it was called Pyrometra, It was an infection that females some
: times get when they dont breed or so my vet said. It is
: very hard to cure if at all. She was also on the same
: medication. But in the end she did not make it and died
: in my hand. I did take it very hard but was glad that she
: was not suffering any more. Mama-g was also very active
: did not eat much and had a hard time using the bathroom.
: I wish you luck.

: : I just took my glider, Gizmo to the vet today because he has been acting different and she did a urinalysis and it turns out he has a bladder infection. Has anyone else's gliders had this. She sent me home with some immoxicillen. Any tips on getting it down him. The vet also sent away a fecal sample to a lab for a bacterial culture. She is looking for salmanilla (i am sure i spelled that wrong)bacteria. Gizmo was not really really sick. We just noticed that he was getting up much later, eating less, and being less social. Since he was up every morning running around when I got up I almost didn't take him to the vet because i thought I was just being paranoid, but now I am glad I did. I would really like to here from someone else who has been through this because even though he has medication I am still worried. Thanks
