I have the same problem with four. What I can't figure out is why some of us have a worse problem than others - probably the gender we have. Anyway, scented candles work great when company comes too - just don't get the heavily perfumed ones, because I always suspect something is being covered up when I go into someone's home and it smells like a spilt perfume factory. I like the citrus scented ones.
I have also stopped using the wooden nesting boxes and have gone to ferret hammocks - mine love these and they can be exchanged and washed frequently.
