: I am a new Glider owner. I purchased a breeding pair about a week ago. I have had experience with Sugar Gliders before this but did not realize how much they could smell. Is something wrong? The book I have say their smell should not permeate a room. Well, this has permeated the whole house. Someone has suggested putting chinchilla dust or baking soda in a dish in their cage. Is this safe for them? I have even taken bathing into consideration, but do not really want to attempt this since my female looks to be carrying two babies. I am open to any suggestions. Please help!!!

I bought My pair when they were a year old. It was about a week before I could tell the smell was dissapating. Probably due to stress, the male is letting off his scent gland. Give them time to adjust.
