Bourbon, I am very sorry, I had already heard both about the joeys and your grandmother from mary since I saw her on friday. I am very sorry about both things. I know you blame yourself for what happened but I honestly don't believe it was your fault. Baybe could have just as easily rejected them had you taken her with you and the dad not being around. I know this isn't exactly comforting but things sometimes happen for a reason though I am not sure about why this did happen. But don't blame yourself. You had no idea and were trying to do the best thing you could for all gliders involved. :) Maybe I'll see you soon.
