Well, I own many birds. I have a Quaker Parot/Parakeet and his type of bird only bonds to one person. I have been reading everyone elses responses to your questions, and I think a Sugar Glider is NOT a good pet for you. If you don't like your Cockatiel, you obviously don't know him/her very well. My cockatiel is so cute and playful. He dances all over his cage when ever we walk into the room. He loves to be with us. See, we have taken the time and given the effort to make our pets "all that they can be". If you have only gotten your animals to sit and look pretty, I suggest you try plastic.
Animals need constant love and care, much like human children. If you are not willing to care for your other pets, you should not even consider it. Hope I have been helpful. Bye.
