The biting sounds pretty normal to me-your glider is probably getting in his teeth and kind of trying them out, or they may be cutting and hurt him a bit. The lunging part sounds a little defensive-go at him slowly, maybe have a yummy treat in your hand. Both of my gliders bit a lot when they were young, but it only lasted a few weeks, of consistent biting. After awhile, when they realized it wasn't getting them anywhere, they stopped. I have two gliders and they both bite me occasionally. My year old grabs hold of my finger, looks at it, and sinks her teeth in-its a very calculated move. My older glider just kind of nips when she is sleepy and I'm bothering her. Both gliders are very bonded and sweet, but contrary to what you may read, gliders do bite, even well bonded ones occasionally! If it is really hurting though, or drawing blood, then the gliders is scared or threatened. Mine just bite lightly as a kind of "stop doing that" warning to me!
