: Hmmmmm.... The Vet said no fresh fruits or veggies? Does this vet OWN a glider? How many dealings have they had with them? I don't mean to discredit them, but you have actual owners here that have done tons of research and interact with their gliders on a daily basis...
: Just because one article says to feed the glider a certian way doesn't necessarily mean it is the correct way..

: (just my thoughts to confuse the situation *smile*)

I know its confusing. My vet was recommended to me by a moderator of the www.sugarglider.net, he has 5 years experience treating gliders. Its a vet magazine article that gives lastest information for exotic animals based on the latest research, research done by vets for vets.

All the glider owners have different ideas on feeding, so its really confusing. One experienced breeder (USDA yes) with years behind her gives her gliders an all baby food diet and says her gliders are healthy as can be. A glider book author told me personally she uses a high quality cat food, and everyone listens to her. Another tells me all cat food is bad. She also says yogurt is good 2-3X a week. Another says yogurt is bad. All you experienced owners have all these confusing ideas. So if I gotta choose between glider owner research and vet research, Im going with the vet.
