I am planning the same thing (dedicating a room to gliders). My thoughts were to go to the hardware store and buy some heavy duty plastic wrap to put over the carpet (strong enough plastic that you are able to walk on it). After that use newspaper (as it is cheap) and leave their cage open. As far as the walls and what not, try not to put any of the things they climb on near the walls. If they do deficate it will fall to the floor. If the newspaper doesn't work (for smell reasons) possibley move to the chips or flooring that is safe for gliders. Possibley cover the areas they occupy the most. If you have that padding on the floor it also helps with *misguided launch attemps*. I am not sure if they would eat the newspaper, but I have seen so many hamsters, gerbils, and ginie-pigs(spelling?) eat it and haven't been harmed my it. Becareful of windows and their coverings. If you have curtains that you don't want destroyed - I would replace them with cheapies or seal the window entirely with plastic. You wouldn't want them to try "gliding" out the window.

Ummm.. now since I haven't done this as of yet and tried it out - it is in sketching stage. If anyone has any better ideas, please let us both know. I am interested as well!!
