My baby gizmo used to bite me alot, before he really new me, and I would "punish" him by petting him or scritcing behind his ears everytime he bit me. eventually he figured out that I was not a threat. Now, if he bites, I just put my hand on his whole body (not hard) and hold him for a second, so he doesn't move, and he generally gets the drift that mom isn't happy. Basically, the "petting punishment" has worked for me. As for my Feurte, I could pretty much say she was bonded instantly. rare, I know, but she was really well hand raised by the breeder. As soon as she got home (no longer in the carry cage because she begged to be out with my b/f), she just sat on my shoulder and let me pet her. So, it is possible, just not very likely.
Don't get discouraged, it just takes time.
