Hey, fellas, here's my take on the situation.

My SG's do the same thing, however, I have noticed a difference.

Sometimes when they go it is just sorta spotty. I think this is due to excitement over seeing you and getting to play outside their cage.

At other times it is deliberate (like the alarm clock) and I think this is associated with marking.

Now, this is just my personal theory, since I have been unable to find anything on the subject.

Take it for what it's worth. At any rate, there are some things we just have to put up with when we're SG owners.
