I speak so very much about trust.. The glider must trust you, but you also must learn your glider. I myself is intune with mine. My gliders are not floor gliders, they have never attempted to go down to the floor area. as far as allowing them to run free at night in my car while I drive.. I must confess.. we do travel alot, but I never travel alone. My hubby is always with me in the front seat, my daughter in the back. We have all of our holes secured with the exception of under the dash. and under the seats. Now mind you this is MY glider, I have had them, I know them, and I can tell you that I do not fear they will get under the seat or dash. I can however, tell you that many people who were not bonded, to their gliders have tried this . many have lost their gliders under the seats, in the headliner, and under the dash. I guess it is the difference in country living and city livin.. in the country to be 6 years old and riding your bike 2 miles, isn't as feared as living in the city and allowing a 6 year old to ride their bike 2 miles. It is all in your enviroment, and the way you are raised. My gliders have done many things with me, that many people would never ever think of doing with theirs. But I have been working, learning my gliders for more than a year, we are inseparable. What I do with mine some may never be able to do with theirs. It all depends on your glider, and on you. There are many warnings about allowing the glider to run free in your car. I for one always suggest a carrier, that can be belted in. But you also must understand, that not everyone can catch their glider in their home let alone in a moving vehicle. While we drive the other occupants are always watching the gliders. They intercept them when they get near the seat itself.except for the back of course. Baybe , as low as she generally goes is the back of my seat, she will walk on my dash, up and down my hand and will sit on my steering wheel, they love the headliner, and the visors we keep half way down, so they have a high landing. Yes we get facehuggers while we drive, and that by far is the scarest thing that has happened with us. The cars seat belt areas have a hole in that the glider can get through, (mine don't) and they could easily get lost in them. Also those with stick shifts, or emergency hand brakes have holes the gliders can get through.. So as I said. it all depends on the glider and you. my suggestion would be to use a carrier.. Also keep in mind.. If it scares you to even try it.. DON'T.. and NEVER allow them to be unsupervised at all while out of thier cage..
