I am like you and only on the verge of getting a glider. I think that your baby female will not mate with the 2 year old when it is a baby. After she has matured then there might some little gliders on the way!!As for deformed babies, I don't think there will be any. If they do mate before she matures, I don't think there will be any babies. But if you are still worried try putting them in seperate cages until she matures wich is around 8-10 months.try going to a search engine(like goto,excite,webcrawler,infoseek and yahoo)and typing in sugar glider or just glider and HAVE FUN WITH YOUR GLIDERS
