Ok on another board someone posted a billion questions about gliders....I figured since I took the time to answer them all I might as well post them here...that way if new people find this palce and not that board they can still benifit from it. It is rather long, and very general info. I wouldnt bother reading it unless you are in the first stages of reaserch. They give basic answers, with refrences to some helpful webpages. Enjoy!

Here goes:

These are very good questions. Sounds like you need to do a lot of reaserch. Bourbons page is a great place to start! I will
give breaif answers, but a little reaserch will do you good..you will get much better answers. Start your reaserch at this
GREAT webpage!

2# Are they illegal to have in Calif.
2. YES! Here is another link for that discussion.

3# Do they make good pets?
3. They make great pets, but they are not for everyone. I suggest you really reaserch them then decide if they are for you.
You need to have at least 3 hrs of awake time with them everyday unless you are able to get more than one. Here is a link to
a downsides page..telling some opf their downsides. Please read it!

4# How long do they live?
4. 10-15 years in captivity if you take good care of them.

5# Which are better male or female?
5. I do not believe ther eis any difference in male or female. They are all different and have different personalities.

6# Are they better outside or inside?
6. You can not keep a sugarglider outside, I do not feel that they ciuld ever live that way!

7# What kind of a cage do I need for them.
7. You will need a rather tall cage for your gliders. The taller the better. You should buy a cage with spacing 1/2 inch by i/2
inch.

8# What do they eat?
8. They eat a variety of fresh fruit and veggies, baby food, and insects. Here is a great page on their diets!

9# Are they aggresive?
9. It depends ont he glider, most gliders are very sweet, but any animal can become aggressive if aboused or neglected. They
will bite at first, but it will all depend on how much they have been hand held. If bought from a breeder who does not hold
them, or a petstpre that doesnt..they will generaly be more frightened of your hands

10# Where do they come from?
10. Originaly from Australia.

11# Can you breed them?
11. Yes you can breed them but you will need a USDA liscence to sell them or even give them away..unless you give them to
soemone with a liscence.

12# How many babies do they have?
12. They will generally have 2 babies at a time, while sometimes they have just one..rare cases may have 3.

13# If there's anything else I need to know please e-mail me.
13. You need to know a lot!!! I suggest doing some major reaserch here! Also you can try these two boards:
