: The spacing is a good question. My spacing is half inch by half inch so I know they can't get out of that. If you know that can't escape or get caught there is no reason not to move them. My cage is 4 and a half feet tall and I put my baby in it when he was 11 weeks oop. I got him at 10 weeks oop, but the cage wasn't ready. I keept him in a small birdcage for 5 days....he was not very active in this small cage. The first day he moved into the big cage he went wild. He loved it. He was so happy to have a tall cage. He could climb much better because of the spacing. They will be much happier in the new cage.

: Okay Mary- this weekend we'll move. I hope they'll love it... Lord knows I've put some effort into setting this thing up. I was suppose to get a grandfather clock for my birthday, but I spent so much on this cage & its accessories that my husband backed out :-) Oh well-
