Getting an older glider is not necessarily the answer. People have gone to college WITH their SG's. An older SG will be bonded to someone else or not bonded at all, in which event it will be VERY VERY DIFFICULT to bond. Adult SG not bonded can be challenging at the very least.
Gliders can be wonderful pets if they are bonded and trusting with you; if they are not .... well, let's just say you probably won't keep her very long.
They have a relative long lifespan, so don't plan on getting one and dumping her at the end of 7 years.
Personnally, I don't think this is a good idea at all.
