i understand your panic from my recent experience with just having joeys as for holding them and that you should look at kims joey info it was alot of help for me.

: I let my parents out to play yesterday morning and mom's belly looked flat as she "flew" by me so i opened the nest box to peek at the joey (not planning on touching it) it wasn't in the box so i looked in a paper towel roll on bottom of cage, it wasn't in there, so i started looking for body parts in the cage thinking the parents ate it!!! he was in mom's pouch!! I was so relieved but will never get over that initial fear after hearing so many horror stories!!!! I'm not going near the baby for a few weeks or so. parents are doting on him though!!!
