: Well some people are able to cut the nails with no problem, however I see why you don't want to just yet. How educated is your vet? Several people take their gliders to the vet for trimmings. It keeps you from being the bad guy.

Hey! I agree with that attitude, Mary!! Let the Vet be the bad guy!! hehe
Welcome Carrie! I love this site as well. I have learned soooo much about these lil guys that will better help me in caring for them. I also love the fact that this site is untampered by the internet "yuckiness" and is clean enough even for children.
hehe enough of my soapbox..

I would suggest getting a very fine gritted sand paper to put under your baby's food dishes.. Keep an eye on the pads on his feet to ensure it isn't bothering them.. I have heard people putting sand paper on the wodent wheel and on climbing branches, etc.. I am one to believe, though, if you get him used to cutting his nails when he is young - the easier it will be in the future. It is just trying to figure out how.. And I think, that I wouldn't do it until after you have a strong bond..

:o)

How is the diet thing going? Have any questions on bonding, feeding, etc? Just let us know!!

Again, Welcome!

Jen
