: How old should weanlings be before taking them from the mother? Is that in days out of pouch or days from actual birth? Joeys should only be removed from their parents after they are fully weaned. This is usually 8 to 10 weeks after they come OOP for the first time. They should be eating on their own and their tails will be fluffy.
