If possible get a glider that is raised by a breeder small enough to have been handled since it came out of the pouch. Take your glider to an exotic vet for a check. You should look at the conditions where the breeder keeps the animals, clean cages, water, food, etc. See the parents. Do they let the owner handle them? How does the one you are getting act with you and present owner? They should have; bright eyes, moist pink nose, pink gums and mucus membranes, smooth fur,clear ear canals, ability to grip with all four feet and good elasticity of gliding membrane.
