Since you do not have a glider yet I would suggest starting with Leadbeaters. You can get the recipe from Bourbons page on this site. You can make a batch and freeze it and have enough for about a month. All you have to do is feed a small amount of Leadbeaters and fresh fruit and veggies and that will be sufficent (did I spell that wrong?). The ice cube ground meat stuff is a treat for the glider once in a while. Remember that all gliders have different taste buds, mine loves the ground meat, others may not. I have not yet heard of a glider that does not like Leadbeaters.
So....
Make a batch of Leadbeaters
Buy some fresh fruit (or frozen fruit)
Buy some vegetables (or a bag of mixed frozen veggies)
This will give your new baby a good and balanced diet. For treats you can give small amounts of plain yogurt, applesauce, babyfood, etc. The treats are a good way to start bonding with your baby. You can dip your finger in the yogurt, applesauce, etc. and let her/him lick it off of your finger. This way she learns that your hands are good and will not harm her.
I hope this has helped. Good luck!! Do you have a breeder picked out yet? When are you getting your new baby?

: I was wondering, would pre-packaged sandwich meat (like Hillshire farms, etc...) bought at a grocery store be an OK source of protein for my glider? In the place of say boiled chicken or something like that? What about Total cereal as a snacking source of calcium?-->if she would eat it.
