You're right it is almost impossible to let them go. Especially when there is no doubt in your mind that they will never have as good a home with someone else.
So that's how I ended up with four. However, I have just found a "good enough" home for Patty, who is 6 mos. oop. I just couldn't let her go.
I have spent MANY days on line with her new owner, who is driving here tomorrow to pick her up.
Here's how bad I am, I negotiated a deal with him that if they are not happy (either one of them) within 30 days, he will sell her back to me and not to someone else. Also, she has to keep her name because she already knows it.
I asked soooo many questions, including personal ones, that I am surprised this poor fellow didn't say "forget this, this is one crazy lady".
Good luck finding as good a home as I did.
