We've had Maggie for 2 weeks now and have been closely watching her. Her tail is fuller and she's much more comfortable with us. She doesn't have a problem eating or drinking, but what does concern me is her lack of activity. I'm not exactly sure if it's her age, her diet, or if she's just still not comfortable with her surroundings. It could be that she is perfectly normal Anyway, it is hard to determine when she wakes up for the evening. I will check on her and sometimes find her peering out of her nesting box. I then take her out and feed her, then let her slip into my pocket. I play with her throughout the evening, feed her regularly and set her down to go to the bathroom, but that seems to be the only exercise she gets. She doesn't willingly let go of my hand unless I put her nose directly in front of her nesting box. If I put her in another part of her cage, she will sit and shiver for awhile before doing her best to find her way to her bed. She has never explored her cage on her own. I have never come out to find her already awake and "playing".. On only a few occasions have I found the food and water I leave for her in case she gets hungry when I'm asleep touched at all. She likes to climb on me and explore the folds in my shirt, but will she ever learn to like her cage? When she's with me, she is usually sleeping in my pocket. She seems to sleep about as much as a cat. Is that normal? I even set her in her cage and sit watching her. She just runs back to bed and curls up to sleep. I am usually awake all night and sleep around dawn, so I don't think I'm catching her during the wrong hours.. please advise. Thanks for your help.
