First, mine has this ball with skin hanging down from his belly,Is that is testicles???? I have seen pictures of sugargliders but never noticed that, Is that normal? Also, he was barking lastnight is he happy when he does that??? Last but not least,he is running all over his cage, he will come to me when I call his name and wants to get out and explore, but I am scared he will run off and get lost...Should I be? :Ok the ball of skin is normal it is his testicles and though they are unoticeable in most pictures my male as well as every other male I have seen have these. A sugar glider running loose should be closely watched as they can easily get in trouble, after you have had him awhile and you have bonded more he can go for romps around a room and you will be sure he will come back. Don't let him loose in a room with other loose animals as they may hurt each other. A barking sound like a dog is a happy sound, if he makes a sound that sounds like an electric razor he is mad. Also if he gets away from you you can shut off the room he is in and tempt him out by talking calmly and just waiting, gliders quickly get tired of hiding. Happly glidering Shannon
