: At first the time needed for a glider is pretty much all day, or most of it. I heald my glider in a pouch for at 5-8 hrs. a day for at least a month. The more time you give in the beginning the merrier your pet will be in the end. After that first month or two and since then I have played with my glider sometimes only for an hour a day (I know, I know, I should be punished). My glider seems very happy and he's the best pet in the world. I love spending time with him even if he makes a mess sometimes. I have found that most breeders sell for about $150 each for babies. Look in Critters magazine, they have some good breeders in there. I just bought a female who I don't have yet, but soon will, from Helen Moreno. She has an ad in the magazine and she also sells babies for $125. I read about sugar gliders in a newspaper and took a very fast liking to them. I have spent much time researching them and have decided that I would like to own two sugar gliders. I was wondering if it would be okay if i spent 2-3 hours with them every night. Would that be enough time? Also, I was wondering if they lived in the same room as my lovebirds(they are in a cage), would they feel threatend by them? I also need to know the average price. I thought it would be better to ask people with experience because the web pages seem to be confused. If you think that I would be able to keep a sugar glider happy with the time alotted please let me know.
