a few years ago, there was an artical in teen magazine regarding gliders as being the hottest thing in Fad pets.. this board went up in arms, that they were advertising to teens. The company/breeder that was advertising it was Herpeton Pets. When we went to the website listed on the page in the mag.. they stated they threw their glider 3 feet to show their customers how they glided... from that post,, although many of us was up in arms, someone said they too TOSS their glider from towel to towel.. now I guess I don't need to tell anyone, that many times bad info can be passed along through people who don't always have the gliders best interest at heart... but even if they did, when you have people reading something like this, you can always expect at least one person taking it to the extreme... the best thing to do is to allow it to learn to glide to ytou, rather than forcing it to "sink or swim" which in essence may traumatize it, especially if it feels unsure about what is happening to him..
