The only way I can think of to help you is for you put them in to separet cages. I know it sounds bad but I myself have two gliders. I keep them in two cages for a few reasons. One is a male the other a female. The other reason is for bonding. If they are kepted together from the start they will bond to eachother and it will be very hard for them to bond to you. Try putting them in different cages that way you and your fiance will not have to worry about loseing there pet to the other.
