Deanna,
I cut branches off of grapevines and other safe branches for the gliders and wash them in the sink. Then I put them in water, use a plastic bottle from water of coke. I take a piece of cord, or wrapped wire and tie the bottle to the side of the cage, so they can't turn it over. It will stay fresh for almost a week..depending on the plant.
