: it's been about a month since my gliders baby opened her eyes. now the books say to take her away at this time to wean her....but i've talked to people and have gotten mixed opinions.
: some say to let her do it herself... others say to seperate...what is the best way to do it since the baby hasnt ventured outside of the pouch(not mother's pouch...their sleeping bag)

Most gliders will wean themselves at 6-8 weeks out of pouch. It is still a little early to seperate this little girl from her parents. Start offering her foods from your hands..licky stuff like baby food at first..then more solid foods like grapes. You need to make sure she is eating, pooping and peeing on her own before you seperate her.
I personally would recommend allowing her to wean herself. It is less stressful on the glider...and you are letting nature take its course.
