He sounds like he's gonna be fine. My little Toby came to me, and I thought his hand had been smashed, and later came to realise that he had been yanked off the wire by the breeder. Three of his nails were broken right off down to the tips of the fingers. His little hand was all black and swollen. It has been awful. The vet told me he would be ok though, and he didn't fear any lose of fingers or anything like that. He put Toby on meds, and told me to do warm compresses on his toes, or soak in warm water. (not very easy) He told me I could clean it with peroxide, and put neosporin on it. He's starting to heal. One of his three fingers even turned back to it's pinkish color again. You might try some of this to help your baby till you get him to the vet. Hope this helps.
