I fond its better to buy from a good breeder, not from a petstore. You should not buy a glider before 8 weeks old. You must realize that gliders have to be held a lot early on. In a petsore they are not held nearly enough...sometimes never. They generally are on a bad diet. They are keept out in the light durring the day, when they need their sleep. Petstores in general are just not a good place to buy from. You will find that most personal breeders are cheaper also. If you buy from a bredder you will most likely have a much easier time with handlign and bonding. I agree. One or two things to think about. Have you done alot of checking out what it takes to own and maintain a glider? Like vet bill's the cost of food, the amount of time you must spend with them. I would surely be carefull about a pet store too. All that she said is true and more. the glider community is going through so many problems due to pet stores that are not educated about gliders and thier needs. Make sure you handle any glider you get so you know they are healthy and not stressed. About the age. If they are taken away too soon, my opion is no earlier than 3mo and depending on the glider longer, then they will have problems.
