Subject: Well, first thing you did wrong was mixing species.. They can be kept together in a room but must have their own cage. This goes with ALL animals. The second thing was lack of research on gliders. In the wild they hunt bugs, gliders defend their territory majorly. They fight to the death if they feel their home is threatend. They will also attack anything that moves, like a cat. Now, when you've got a defensive, territorial, curious animal and you're mixing with other animals in 1 room with no seperate cages what do you think will happen? Your finches become dinner. Not to mention this is a dangerous thing to do because also the gliders can be injured from the finches. If I was you I'd scoot my butt to the store and get some cages to seperate each individual species.
