Thanks Bourbon for posting this. As you know Betsy has me handling the emails about the getaway and there haven't been alot of responses so far...Here is what we know so far.

that the glider getaway is scheduled for july 28.29.and 30th in Rutherfordton, NC. It is sponsered and held by betsy of betsy's custom creations. you can view pictures from last years SGGA (sugar glider get away) at: http://www.betsycc.com/Sgga.asp
There will be room for tent camping and rv's. However those bringing rv's need to contact Betsy ahead of time to make sure there will be room for them. There are also some hotels near by for those who would prefer to hotel it. Betsy will be sending me more info on the hotels soon.
It is the last weekend in July, with Sat being the main day, there may even be a band on Sat night. There will be swimming, croquet, ping pong, contests (still need contest ideas..) and of course food.
The food will be buffet style. Everyone will be asked to donate at least $5 per person per meal as they go through the buffet line. You can prepay for your meals...just figure out how many meals for all in your party..and betsy will make you a water proof meal ticket to use.
Leadbeaters and glider food will also be there...don't know if there will be a charge yet..depends on how many gliders need it and how much it runs to provide it.
THERE WILL BE NO ALCOHOL!! We don't want any "fights"...
If you bring your gliders you must bring a travel cage for them. It will be hot outside...so gliders will be allowed to be "housed" in betsy's home. You may want to bring a lock for the cage, if you are a worry wart like me, and are afraid someone may "mess" with your gliders (even though it seems very unlikely). If you don't have a travel cage you can order a "vacation villa" from betsy and she will have it waiting there for you. Pets other than glider are frowned upon....
any small children must be supervised by their parents....because of possible dangers (i.e. strangers, swimming pool, pond).
Anyone ignoring their children may be asked to leave.

So far, Bourbon, I have about 5 people who has said they are coming..and a few others express interest....
