Subject: Georgia Law Posted by Rachael on May 31, 2000 at 21:33:51 from 152.163.205.16 I am currently a resident of Maryland and have two sugar gliders who my fiance and I love dearly. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency we need to move to Atlanta. The problem is that as far as I can tell, after a very confusing 3 hour game of phone tag, Georgia requires a breeders license to own gliders. To get this I need to have an established breeding business, business lisence, etc and pay a 200+ fee. Does anyone know if this is correct? Is there a legal way around it or if not, how do I go about trying to get gliders legalized as pets? Any suggestions would be very welcome. We love our gliders and do Not want to have to sell them or give them away.
