: I just got my new sugar glider today and she seems very scared and I have left her alone so she can get used to her new home. But when ever I talk to her or even look at her she flips out and makes a crabbing noise. Well, what I am asking is if anyone can give me some tips on how to properly get aquainted with my new baby sugar glider I would be very greatfull. Thank you.

Well, one of the first things I did while doing the whole sitting by the cage thing was feed fruit through the wire of the cage. When she crabbs, don't just jerk away. Stop till she calms, but don't quit what you are doing. I find that it makes them a lot more comfortable when you make very slow movements, and talk very softly too. I also sat by the cage and sang very soft lullibys to Toby. He really seemed to like this. Kind of corney, I know, but I don't care. I mean they are babies right? Hope this helps some.
